His friends enjoy being around him more as his peer interaction skills have greatly been enhanced. He doesn’t hit or act out. He verbalizes his needs. He’s no longer frustrated. …While Noah was on The Listening Program he learned to ride a bike as well as run and kick a soccer ball.” Heidi Stevens, Mother of Noah, 4 ½ yrs – Developmental Delay, NV “..she has gone from going to typical preschool with an aide to going independently. It’s hard to call that anything but a miracle. Perhaps the best thing about TLP is that I actually own it.” Mother of Issy, 3 yr. old - Autism, MI “I’m an air traffic controller, and in my field, I have to receive and process a lot of information quickly. Since I have completed this program, I do not have to ask the pilots to repeat themselves. The most obvious change I have noted is I don’t let things upset me as easily and I am less uptight” Amber C. Webb, Enterprise, AL “TLP has improved his sense of balance and rhythm. Ian has a more positive attitude and self-confidence in himself…His handwriting and drawing ability has also improved. ..He is also more interested in learning to read and sounding out words. Ian has become more of a joker and has a greater sense of humor than before the program.” Linda Smit, Mother of Ian Bartz, 6 yrs. - Sensory Integration issues, MI “The things I noticed most were that she was more independent, and she had more self-confidence. She was more responsible… Before, when Cally was asked a question, she could just say “yes” or “no”; now, she will elaborate a lot more and just seems a lot more confident in speaking to people….I notice she pulls out a book and starts reading without me having to ask her to do it.” Mother of Cally, 10 yrs. - Auditory Processing Disorder (APD), NV “…After initial bumps in the road, which Melissa explained are a sign TLP was working, fantastic things began happening. Not only did Seth start making new attempts at unfamiliar words, he also became more physically active and much more coordinated….I know that if it weren’t for TLP and the wonderful help and support of Melissa East, Seth would not be at the stage he is now, or made such amazing progress.” Angie, mother to Seth 3.5 yrs - Expressive Language Delay, NV “I became more aware of my self, my actions and my relationships with my family members. ..I will continue to repeat TLP and fully credit it with resolving my daughter’s seizures and helping her with her learning disabilities.” Mother with Fibromyalgia & Daughter, 13 yrs - Multiple Learning Disabilities and Petite Mal Complex Seizure Disorder, IA “I feel that The Listening Program has helped me feel more relaxed, more energetic, more alert, lighter in sprit, more positive, and in general I feel mentally and physically younger!! I sleep better, and I feel more focused. I recommend this program very highly, not just for people with severe brain problems, but also for ordinary folks who just want to feel good.” Daniel Karp, Licensed. Acupuncturist. MA “I think that one of the first things I noticed about Nicole is that she seemed more aware. She also became more loving; she would actually come to me and ask for a hug.” Mother of Nicole, 14 yrs - Seizure disorder, ADD, Tourettes and APD, NV "A few weeks after we started The Listening program with John, he was able to calm himself down easily when he was stressed out. His listening, following directions & (performing) tasks improved. He started trying to eat different foods that he didn’t want to try before. I highly recommend this program for any kids with autism.” Mother of John, 6 ½ yrs. - Autism, NV "Life for Abbi actually seemed to be getting a little less frustrating… I have seen some wonderful changes. I truly have a happier child. Her academic status is still very much lower than it should be, but I feel that through this program, we’ve opened up the mind of a little sponge and she’s ready and willing to learn all the great things she’s struggled with thus far. I have such a positive feeling and look forward to the next couple of months and all the wonderful things Abbi will learn. That’s something I’ve never said before. Thank You!!!" Mother of Abbi Lagan, 6 yrs. - Undiagnosed, NV “We began using TLP to help our 3-year-old autistic daughter with auditory processing. We incorporated TLP into our existing intervention schedule. In the last 16 weeks our daughter has made huge gains. In the areas of speech and attending she has greatly improved. In terms of her behavior she has gone from going to typical preschool with an aide to going independently. It’s hard to call that anything but a miracle. Perhaps the best thing about TLP is that I actually own it. TLP will continue to be a part of our intervention until there is no need for intervention.” Mother of Issy, 3 yr. old - Autism, MI “TLP seemed to center me. I feel more confident and more resourceful. I have encountered less procrastination. Life seems to flow with less struggle. My comfort zones seem to be expanding with less resistance…I feel confident that I am being the best I can be after completing this program. My thoughts and actions are working with me to achieve my goals. What a nice sense of harmony and balance! One of the benefits that I have received from TLP is that my handwriting has improved – less hurried and much more in flow.” Vicky Kallman, Sedona Method Instructor, NV “I had read about this program in a homeschooling paper and was eager to try it with my six-year-old son. Although he has never been “officially diagnosed” with an auditory challenge I have felt he needed considerable improvement in his listening skills. After having done the program I have seen improvement in his overall listening capabilities. He is a beginner reader and initially struggled with some phonics sounds and we noticed considerable improvement after the program.” Mom, Ft Collins, CO "I am extremely pleased with “The Listening Program.” My 4 ½ year old son and I both participated in this. I have noticed significant changes in both of us. For example, my son is more affectionate and sensitive. I have noticed he writes his letters more legibly. Before we started the program he scribbled all over his papers in an effort to color. Now, he stays in the lines and colors neatly. I have noticed many academic changes as well. We read books to our son at least once a day. Now, he asks to read books during the day, and even tries to read words independently. Since I have started this program, I have been able to remember names much easier. This has been evident at church when I meet new couples. They are always surprised that I remember their names after only their first visit. I’m an air traffic controller, and in my field, I have to receive and process a lot of information quickly. Since I have completed this program, I do not have to ask the pilots to repeat themselves. The most obvious change I have noted is I don’t let things upset me as easily and I am less uptight. My relationship with my husband has improved also. I am not as much of a nag, and we communicate better! Our family seems to run more smoothly, and our house is much more peaceful. Suppertime used to be extremely tense. Now it is much more enjoyable and pleasant! We are all more loving and cooperative. I attribute much of this to “The Listening Program,” and I highly recommend this to anyone!!" Amber C. Webb, Enterprise, AL "After suffering a massive stroke due to a torn artery, my husband had severe mental deficiencies. As part of a multi-step program, we used The Listening Program®. Although I don't think we've seen the full benefits of what this program will ultimately do, we have seen significant results in a short time. Brian's mental condition has improved drastically, he is now communicating in words, he's lost all of sound hypersensitivity (which prevented us from even going out to restaurants), his walking has improved, his comprehension is excellent and he is getting better by the day. While I don't think TLP is 100% responsible for all these improvements, I do believe it was a critical component and complemented his other therapies. I do think there are even more benefits to come. We will do a refresher course later in the year. " Kathleen Watt, about Brian Watt, adult with stroke, April 2005 |
