My work of supporting individuals and families through The Listening Program™ (TLP) began with a quest to improve my own listening skills. One fortuitous evening in 1997 I met an enthusiastic parent who credited the Tomatis Method™ with positive differences in his daughter’s challenges with Down Syndrome. He ran off a long list of benefits, physical and mental, but the one change that caught my ‘ear’ was her improved listening. Since listening had been a challenge for me through school and life, his story motivated me to have a Tomatis Listening Test and I was surprised to discover that the scope of my auditory processing difficulties went beyond my mild hearing loss. I went through the clinic-based Tomatis Method™ in the winter of 1997. My personal results included improvements in frustration tolerance, productivity, attention to detail and a balance in energy level. Most importantly I benefited in a deeper listening of others as well as myself, which transitioned to improved social and personal relationships. I credit my marriage in 1999 to this work and have come across similar relationship success stories. In 2000 I wanted to refresh my auditory training and was directed to The Listening Program™, developed by Advanced Brain Technologies LLC, (ABT) by my Tomatis Practitioner. Impressed with the program as well as the integrity of the team that developed the program. I was trained in the science and technology of the brain-based programs of ABT and became an Authorized Provider. I have since found continued enjoyment making a difference and turning lives around for the better through my delivery and supervision of The Listening Program™. The listeners I have supported have been individuals or families. Diagnoses of these individuals have included: Autism, Auditory Processing Disorder, depression, language-based learning deficiency, memory loss, seizure disorder, Downs Syndrome, ADD, PDD, ADHD, LD, behavioral and language issues.  I have attained Certified Provider status (a designation above “Authorized Provider”) which reflects my advanced knowledge and experience in providing support to listeners of TLP. As a Certified Provider I am authorized to offer the new TLP Level One Kit (released September 2003). I look forward to keeping up-to-date with new product releases by Advanced Brain Technologies so that I can continue to provide quality support to my listeners
