Third generation of his family in this field, Alex is the former Executive Director of The National Academy for Child Development, a non-profit organization founded by his father, Robert J. Doman, Jr. in 1979. Alex is trained as a practitioner in auditory training and in other music and sound based methodologies. He has developed programs for over 1,500 children and adults throughout the world. Alex has spent the past seven years researching and furthering the development of the field of sound stimulation. In addition, Alex has been a guest on numerous radio talk shows, panel discussions, and conference presentations and has trained hundreds of clinical professionals and educators in the United States and Europe in the areas of neurodevelopment and sound stimulation. Alex is the President and one of the co-founders of Advanced Brain Technologies and is a co-creator of The Listening Program, Sound Health Series, Music For Babies and BrainBuilder programs. | | Robert J. Doman, Jr. Founder/Director of the National Academy for Child Development Bob's clinical work ranges from the treatment of severe brain injury to accelerated programs for the gifted. He has personally designed individualized home-based neuro-developmental programs for over 15,000 infants, children, and adults. His eclectic approach includes neurological sequential processing methodologies and advanced auditory re-education methods. | | Richard Lawrence - Please see the Tribute to Richard Lawrence Musical Director of the Arcangelos Chamber Ensemble - Richard Lawrence, a conservatory-trained violinist, composer and producer was born in Scotland. At 12 years of age he won top honors at the Edinburgh Music Festival and went on to study at the Royal Academy of Music in Glasgow. He joined the BBC Orchestra in Bristol and later trained with the American quartet, before taking a PGC at the Victoria Conservatory of Music. Richard has been concertmaster of symphony orchestras in the U.S., Canada, and Great Britain. Richard is co-producer of of The Listening Program, Sound Health Series and Music For Babies . | | Ron B. Minson, M.D. Leading Designer in the filtration/gating techniques found in The Listening Program Dr. Minson provides a unique background in public health, family practice, and psychiatry. He is the founding Medical Director of the Center for InnerChange, located in Denver, Colorado. Combining psychiatry with other innovative therapies, the Tomatis Method is the center of his practice of children and adults. Bringing a decade of clinical experience with Tomatis and other sound methods, Dr. Minson is one of the co-creators of The Listening Program. | | Joshua Leeds Co-Producer of The Listening Program and the Sound Health Series Joshua Leeds is a sound researcher, educator, and music producer. He specializes in psychoacoustics for health, learning and productivity. He is co-founder of Applied Music & Sound, a production company creating audio products for the consumer and education sectors. With partner Richard Lawrence, Joshua is the co-producer of The Sound Health Series and The Listening Program. Joshua's musical credits span TV, film, stage, and radio. He has published numerous articles internationally on the therapeutic applications of music and sound and is the author of two books, Sonic Alchemy and The Power of Sound. | | Lori Riggs, M.A. CCC/SLP Speech Pathologist and Program Supervisor for The Listening Program Lori Riggs, M.A. CCC/SLP is a certified speech/language pathologist and a valuable member of TLP listening schedule design team. She has extensive experience working with both children and adults with speech, language, voice, hearing, and cognitive disorders. In association with The National Academy for Child Development, Lori has developed and monitored home auditory training programs for hundreds of families around the world. |
