About Jon Schmalenberger
and J.S. Classic Woodworking
J.S. Classic Woodworking was established by
Jon Schmalenberger with one purpose in mind: to build high quality
furniture using time honored techniques.
Jon was originally trained at the
North Bennet Street School in
Boston, MA, a trade school dedicated to teaching quality
craftsmanship. For the next five years, Jon taught woodworking
skills at the Fenn School in Concord,
MA, a private institution renowned for excellence and high
academic standards.
In 1986, Jon opened J.S. Classic Woodworking.
Since then, Jon has produced furniture in a wide variety of styles
from traditional to modern and always with the high level of
quality you expect from a true craftsman.
